Hi I'm Lucy
I'm the former director of the Par/Genus Foundation and the DocSide Film Festival. After I was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and survived it, I turned to art to help me with depression & anxiety. My body changed because of medical treatments and surgery. It was something I had to accept. Art was my spiritual healer and a catalyst for me to become an abstract artist.
I dedicate this website to my sister Claudia. She lived her life with so much courage that my experience with cancer pales in comparison. When she was only 8 years old she suffered a stroke that paralyzed the right side of her body. She was diagnosed with Moyamoya, a rare cerebrovascular disorder that caused multiple aneurysms. She passed away when she was 12 years old.
